Our wildlife needs forest cover for shelter. Even more important are open areas, which provide food.
Wildlife needs a variety of areas in the forest in order to survive. Animals like covered areas for protection from the elements. Animals also need open areas in order to graze and hunt for food. We need a variety of habitats to keep our wildlife healthy and thriving in nature.
